Making a Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri
- Make a blender full of broken Ice. You will need approximately a glass of frozen ice.
- Cut and dice 3 quarters (90 grams) of strawberries. Strawberries are available in a variety of sizes, therefore the number of strawberries you consume will vary. It could be anything between 3 and 6 strawberry. An easy method of determining the amount of strawberries you’ll need is to cut and slice strawberries before filling the measuring cup. Stop when you’re less than the 1/2 cup/4 120 millimeters mark.
-
- The best strawberries are those that are fresh and ripe. However, you can also make use of frozen ones. If you decide to choose to use frozen strawberries, make sure you make sure to let them cool before you use them.
- Add the strawberries into the blender together with the lime and sugar juice. For a sweeter daiquiri, add more sugar. Remember that if the strawberry is already extremely ripe, you might not require much sugar.
- Mix until it is homogeneous. From time to time, you can open the blender and then move the mixture along the sides using the spatula. This will allow the mix to be more uniformly.
- Pour the drink into a glass. Garnish it with strawberries. Cut a strawberry halfway in a row, starting from the bottom up to the top. Then, slide it over the edge of your glass.
-
- There are other garnishes too such as mint leaves, umbrellas to serve cocktails or lime/orange slices.
- To make it more interesting you can add a swirl of whipped cream to the top and then place a maraschino cherry on the top.
Making Variations
- Make it with the strawberry daiquiri mix. If you already have a ready-made mix that you have at home, you can make use of it to create a homemade strawberry daiquiri. Follow the instructions on the packaging and leave out the alcohol. If the packaging does not include instructions, you can blend 4 8 ounces (120 milliliters) of the mix using 1 cup of frozen ice. If the mix is too thick you can add 1 one ounce (30 milliliters) of water and blend it again. [2]

- Make a daiquiri for kids. The original recipe for daiquiri virgin is alcohol-free, however it may not be too sweet for children. Mix 1 Cup (55 grams) sugar 2 tablespoons lemon juice 34 Cup (180 milliliters) lemon-lime soda, four cubes of ice and two large strawberries in the blender. Pour the mixture in a glass tall and garnish with strawberries. The end result is a bit more sweet and a little fizzy. This could make it more appealing to children. [3]

- Make it a refreshing punch of orange juice. In a blender mix 2 cups of frozen ice with 1 cup (200 grams) of strawberries cut into slices and 1 tablespoon of sugar. In the blender, add the juice of one orange and one lime. Blend until smooth. add the juice to glasses, and then serve.
- Mix it up with the mixture of a pineapple drink to make a fresh lava flow. Make only half of the strawberry daiquiri mix and keep it aside. With a mixer, blend three ounces (90 milliliters) of coconut cream that is unsweetened as well as three 1 oz (90 milliliters) of pineapple juice and a few ice cubes. Pour the mixture on strawberries in the daiquiri. Add the largest strawberry, and serve. [5]

- If you are unable to find coconut cream, use coconut milk. Coconut milk is thinner, and the lava flow will be a little thinner.
